How to Install kali linux in Virtual Machine (Vmware) – 2021 updated

Hi everyone, Today we are gonna see a step by step method to install kali linux in your machine using vmware in 5 minutes.

Step 1: First, we need to download the Vmware software (vm workstation) to run our virtual OS.Click the link here to visit their official site. and select your OS type and click download now option.

Step 2: Open the downloaded file and install the software (It is a simple process). Click next,and it will automatically install it.

Step 3: Now we need to download the kali linux vm image file from here. I recommend the 64 bit file, it is the mostly used one. once the file is downloaded ,extract the files using winrar or 7zip software.

Step 4: Now open the installed Vm workstation software which we installed in Step 2 and Choose option non-commercial use when asked.

Step 5: Click the player option and choose file -> open and navigate to the downloaded kali Linux image file in your system and Click ok.

Step 6: Now the kali linux will be loaded in to the vmware machine. Click the edit option to configure the settings.

Step 7: Here you can change the ram, memory capacity and processers allocated to the machine if you want. Otherwise skip this one.

Step 8: Click the play virtual machine option to load the kali linux OS.

Step 9: Choose the option I copied when asked for smooth installation.

Step 10: Choose the option download and install when asked for installing required tools for the vmware.

Step 11: The OS will be successfully loaded and you can login using the default credentials
